OREGON PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS ASSOCIATION

OPPA MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

Our mentorship program has been a huge success and is one of the most valued benefits of OPPA membership to our members!

For 2026, we will be re-launching mentorship as Ask Me Anything, where mentees and mentors can meet for 2-3 hours online or in person.

If you have any questions about mentorship, please reach out to our current mentorship chair.

Sign up for the Mentorship Program:

Think about your own unique set of skills and experience. Are you interested in sharing your knowledge with other members? Do you have experience in marketing, social media/SEO, studio lighting, macro, wedding, pet or drone photography, portraiture, newborns, editing/post-production? You can enrich our members and yourself by sharing your unique set of skills while earning points towards an OPPA degree.

I was accepted as a member of Strategic Coach and I'm entering my fourth year with this fabulous group of entrepreneurs. Our own Bryan Welsh was also one of my mentors through the OPPA program. It feels great to give back to other photographers who want to keep growing." 2012 awarded service to the industry honor from PPA (studio celebrated a 100 year anniversary) Awarded AFP from OPPA, many merit prints over the years and continue entering competitions. Also awarded Bryan and Arlene Welsh Award from OPPA.

My students who have implemented Profit First have experienced much success and peace of mind. I think confidentiality is important and I don't share with others what we discuss. I also don't believe one size fits all...you get to decide and design the studio you would like to own. My job is to share my experience and encourage.
