A Night with the Pros:
Becoming an Instagram Pro w/
Morgan Stone Grether

Most pro photographers became established using more traditional forms and then looked to social media as a way to extend their marketing, or even as an obligation because someone told them they had to do it.

Morgan Stone Grether did things a little different.

He got started and developed his skills and talent with Instagram, where he made a name for himself and got noticed.  Instagram was his focus, not an afterthought.

His images grew popular and he started meeting people (he was the inventor of the #instameet).  Brands and companies noticed, and he now works professionally creating images not just in the Portland area but around the world for various locations and brands to help them tell their story through photography.

Learn what he did, how it got noticed, how he works with brands, and how the Instagram world has evolved over the past several years.  Whether you're a hobbyist or a pro, any photographer can learn some ideas for online success from his story.

Bio:

Morgan Stone Grether is a travel, event, and portrait photographer based out of Portland, Oregon. His photographs have been shown in galleries in New York, Miami, Berlin, Madrid, and Portland.

His posts at instagram.com/grether have had over 11 million "likes"  and 160k comments. And he has worked with major corporations like Google, Ford, Chevy, and Hilton on social media projects. (Find out more in his media kit.)

Photography has been his passion since childhood, when he first started taking polaroids of wildlife with his grandfather in the Idaho mountains. Now you will never catch him without a camera.

In his spare time he is with his daughters and his guitar.
